The message was in the words.

She wanted to absorb the message.  She watched the pictures the words created in her mind.  She spoke the words out loud.  She listened.  She savoured each syllable.  She exhausted each emotion. 

If she could understand the pictures, the syllables, the emotions, she would understand more about herself.  Absorbing the words into her being would nurture who she became.

Parched for understanding, she drank more and more words.  Starving for comprehension, she ate word after word after word.

She finally felt a glimmer of understanding.  She was on the right path.  She was reading.
