| Brilliant!
              december 2006 Welcome
to the December issue of "Brilliant!"  At this time of the year
in many countries the festive season is well and truly under way.
Families and friends come together all over the world to share a number of
different celebrations, and a consistent message of love, peace and
      harmony unites us all. Children
bring such a special joy and wonder to this time of year and are a great
reminder to live in the moment and be happy.  Come and discover some amazing insights from
the very young, sharing a deep understanding of life's priorities at The Bright
Light Café's delightful quotes page about, and by, children.
      Also
on the menu at The Café are
      wonderful quotes on friendship
      and fun
that have such special meaning at this time of year. Wow, hasn't
2006 just sped by?  It has been a busy year for the team at Bright
Light.  At the beginning of 2006 we wrapped up our True Love Writing
Competition, having received many excellent entries from writers all over
the world.  Audio performances of our ten finalist entries were
      professionally recorded and showcased at
the Café and then we had the difficult
task of choosing four very deserving winners. During 2006,
the menu of positive and uplifting short
stories, poems, articles, anecdotes, streaming audio performances and
multimedia at The Bright Light Café
grew by over 100 new items, and we welcomed many fine new talents to our
Bright Light creative online family. In
the last quarter of the year Bright Light Multimedia proudly released the
      visionary novel, "Letters
      to Michael" and the new
personal development CD and audio download, "The
Second Trigger". The Bright Light Café and
Bright Light Multimedia websites have been upgraded during the year and
the Café's Featured Talent area has
been extended and now includes an interview page revealing many fascinating facts
about this special group of talented contributors. We hope 2006 has been good for you and
your loved ones, and as we approach another new year, we hope it brings
all the success, laughter, love and happiness you could wish for.
 Time
      to relax -
      with our compliments! This
festive time of year can often become quite stressful, what with social events, shopping and preparations, family gatherings, the
financial aspect, and just the sheer organisation it
takes to keep everything on track!  For way too many
people, the stress they experience can also be for deeper, more personal reasons. Whatever
the cause of this stress, relaxation is the perfect solution.
Everyone at Bright Light Multimedia wants you to be relaxed so you can
enjoy the good times ahead, so we'd
      like you to have a
      special gift.  Until
the end of December, we are offering a digital audio download of our short “Deep
      Relaxation” exercise, with our compliments.
This download is normally priced at $8.95, but because you are our

A few days ago, I was having another fretting day. I had so many conflicts to deal with and personal affairs to attend to that I was eating my heart out the whole day I was moving around. I could almost hear the song playing in my head:
"Fretty woman walking down the street, fretty
woman ... la la la la ..."That night, after retiring from the day's toil, I remembered the time when I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) a.k.a. Lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease. I started re-grieving over the part that SLE took away from me. I began to fret about all the things I used to do so well.

The New Year brings fresh hope and a bright new dawn into all our lives.
This month's performances celebrate those thoughts and attitudes focusing on
the great love between friends and realising how even a simple cork board can
flood our minds with memories before looking at the everyday and always miraculous
joy of a fresh and fearless morning.  how much they all
mean to us.  Have a listen and then put your hands together (or tap out an email) to

 Short
              Stories Carl
Palmer, from the USA, has a delightfully wicked sense of humour
that he reveals with his tongue very firmly in his cheek in this delightfully
naive tale of internet corruption.  If you've ever been emailed by banks
or princesses or anybody else promising you heaps of money for little or no
effort then you'll definitely relate to this story and thank goodness you
don't have any friends like the one supposedly telling this tale.
 Thrice
            as Nice   (449 words)
Just before the school zone was an electronic speed board flashing me at 33mph. Instant reflex was to compare that speed with my speedometer, which was about right, but what caught my eye was the time on my radio, 3:33 — and the gas gauge below “E”. I pulled into the first gas station in sight. After waiting behind 3 cars, I noticed the price, $3.33 a gallon.
Annoyed at not catching this earlier and not wanting to search further on empty, I clicked in the
auto-fuel-cut-off lever and went inside for a pack of smokes.Read

 "May
the blessing of the rain be on you – the soft sweet rain.
May it fall upon your spirit so that all the little flowers may spring
up and shed their sweetness on the air.
May the blessing of the great rains be on you, may they beat upon your
spirit and wash it fair and clean and leave there many a shining pool where
the blue of heaven shines and sometimes a star."
