              june 2007 Happy
June!  We hope the year has been going brilliantly for you so far and
that the plans you made and the goals you set back in January are well on their way to
      fruition.
 Here
at Bright Light, we are currently hard at work putting the finishing
touches to a new personal awareness audio CD/digital download product
scheduled for release in July.  Parenting Myself and
       My
Spiritual Home are powerful guided visualisations designed to help
heal the emotional hurts that may have occurred to us as children.
These visualisations are written, produced and presented by the sensitive
and caring creative genius behind all Bright Light products, Barbara
Llewellyn.  Barbara's gentle and soothing voice will, as always, take
you on a safe, empowering journey to meet your spiritual parents and spend
time with them in your own spiritual home.  I am extremely privileged
to witness and experience the development of Barbara's personal awareness
programs and I can say that this duet of healing visualisations will be of
huge benefit to many people.  So, stay tuned for more information in
the next newsletter, because one of the benefits of being a
"Brilliant!" subscriber is the access to pre-release products
      and special discount offers.

 As
a "Brilliant!" subscriber, you know that positive, uplifting and
empowering entertainment is the main attraction at the Bright
Light websites.  The CDs, books and digital downloads we develop and
      market through our Bright
      Light Multimedia publishing website,
and the content presented in over 400 pages of poems, short stories,
articles, music, art and multimedia at The
Bright Light Café are all crafted
or chosen to fit our ongoing goal to provide an online environment that unites, rather than divides,
      everyone who
visits our sites.  To that end, we work very hard to ensure all
product and content is free from hate, racism, sexism, violence, crudity,
pessimism, cynicism, and political and religious beliefs that may offend
any of our valued customers and visitors.

 We
know the world has many negative and dark attributes and there are plenty
of places on the web where you can find this sort of fare, but not at
Bright Light.  We are very specific in our
       guidelines for submissions
to The Bright Light Café about what is acceptable and creative pieces
that don't fit those specifications (no matter how well crafted they may
be) are immediately rejected.  So it always surprises me when we
receive material that is clearly outside the Bright Light charter, and I
can only think that the folks who submit these items have not read our
guidelines.  To those of you who may be considering submitting your
creative work to us for possible global showcasing, I ask that you please
be sure to read and comprehend our guidelines - and also take a quick tour
around the site to gain a better understanding of the type of material that
your potential audience is expecting to see.  Thankyou.  Oh, and
when you do submit your work, please use our online submission
      form, as it
will ensure your work is reviewed in a timely manner through our
established, formal procedure.  We occasionally receive submissions
via email and unfortunately they tend to get buried in the flood of daily
emails and are sometimes not found for months (or longer), making it a
frustration for submitter and receiver alike.

      News

 One
of our youngest contributors to The Bright Light Café is the
multi-talented Taylor Dean, from Australia.  Taylor's first
appearance at the Café was when she was just nine years
old.  Taylor wrote and performed her own fun poem called Kids, and
then contributed an original piano piece called Drifting
      Memories.
She also performed two other pieces from the Café - Barbara Llewellyn's
humorous poem, Teeth and another fun poem by the late Joan Ridley,
       The
      Lost Wallet.

 Taylor
is also an extremely talented ice skater and in the past couple of years
has emerged as one of the rising young stars on the Australian skating
scene.  We just heard that Taylor has achieved second-place at a
National skating meet over the past weekend, so on behalf of everyone at
Bright Light and all her fellow contributors and "Brilliant!"
subscribers, we wish her our heartiest congratulations.  I think
we're going to hear much more about Taylor's skating achievements in the
coming years, and watch for her name on the International stage at the
2014 Winter Olympics.  Well done Taylor!

 This

And here is the Creative Director of Bright Light
Multimedia, the beautiful and talented Barbara

 Poetry Michael
Lee Johnson, from the United States, has a fascinating
relationship with his own poetic nature, something all poets can relate to
as they watch the moon or the change of seasons or while contemplating the
complexity of their own thoughts.  If you've ever dabbled in the
wonder of words yourself or have wondered just what makes a poet tick,
you'll find the clues in each of Michael's latest three poems.

 Tony
Williams, from Australia, is a true romantic.  He has
already captured our hearts with his short story about a newly
married couple finding humour in "Too
Sweet the Wine" and he now tugs at our memories of deeply
missed and never forgotten loved ones in his powerful conversation
              with a lost love.

                  Weilert, from the
United States, is a marvellous muse, with laughter accompanying each of
his flights of fancy.  His latest showcased poem is a delightful
look at the English language with all its completely accepted
absurdities.  Don't forget to also have a listen to his thoughts on
road travel in America in "Today,

 Short
              Stories New
Zealand is renowned as a beautiful and brave country as shown in the
"Lord of the Rings" movies.  This beauty and courage is
reflected in its inhabitants which is possibly why Rebekah
Lyell, from the land of the long white cloud, always writes
with these attributes shining through.  She will soon be entering
into the tension of university exams, where a bit of extra luck along with
all the study does an amazing amount of good, so please join us in wishing
Rebekah great get-all-the-answers-right good fortune, before reading her
      heart-touching story.
 The
            Day I Re-Met My Father  (271 words)
Sunlight streams rudely through a gap in my curtain. The smell of fresh cut grass and freesias too sweet for the morning. My eyes struggle open, finally alighting on the only photo of my Father and I.She is in the kitchen. Her angelic voice twinkling up the stairs and twirling under my door. The static from the small radio is barely audible over her. She sounds happy.
