The Voice Actress

Barbara became a professional voice artist in her childhood, and continues to do a large amount of voice work today.  Her voice quality is consistently described as nurturing and soothing and her comedic timing often proves a great asset.  Along with Barbara's vast experience in the advertising, corporate promotions, radio, and television industries, her extensive "character" voice repertoire has also been utilised in children’s animation and audio series’, radio plays, and films.

Barbara completely post synchronised the voice of leading character “Edith” in the internationally acclaimed Australian film Picnic at Hanging Rock (Barbara’s scream is often highlighted in advertisements for the film).  Barbara's voice was also used throughout the movie inside various other characters.

Barbara is the soothing voice gently guiding listeners through the personal development CD's available on this website.  

Barbara also chooses to perform many of the showcased items presented by up and coming writers on the Bright Light Café as a way of encouraging writers to recognise the great value of listening to written works as potential performance pieces.
